Bio -
Richard Blacker (born 1976), a home-grown dweller of the Southern sectors of Australia, has been into music since he was 6 years old. As a classically trained musician playing the likes of the violin, viola, cello, guitar and bass guitar, he had a natural progression into dj’ing and electronic music production… Over the past 13 years, being heavily influenced by 6 years of living-experience in the rapidly evolving psychedelic trance scene of Tokyo, this passion has grown into a rich, diverse, well-orchestrated, tribal, funky and deeply unique sound that is now being recognized both Nationally and internationally!
Having played @ many well- renowned festivals in Australia such as the closing sets of the Rainbow Serpent Festival in 2004/2005/2006/2007/2008(Victoria), Earthdance 2001-2006 (NSW) 2007(Perth), Tribeadelic NYE gatherings 2003/2004/2005/2006/2007, Erisian Fields Festival 2005 and the Akasha Festival( VIC) 2006 to name but a few, he has also had the opportunity to take his sound interstate and overseas rocking places such as Melbourne, Cairns, Perth, Byron Bay, Tasmania, Brisbane, Kophangan (thailand), Dharamsala(India), Delhi (India), Tokyo(Japan) and Okinawa (Japan’s south island)!!! Currently, Eegor resides in far north Queensland up on the tablelands , whilst playing regularly at many outdoor events across the country he also produces music under the same name EEGOR.His debut release can be found on the debut compilation from Open Records, “ Slow Release”, Released January 8th 2007, not to mention his 2nd release, this time a collaboration with D-sens named 'curtis landing' on Open Records's 2nd compilation "Festivus" which was released early February 2008 and is recieving great reviews. In the upcoming releases news Eegor will also be releasing a 12" again with D-sens...this time a minimal tech remix of Curtis Landing with another remix done by Shades of Grey...lookout!!!
