The project Shades of Gray is the brainchild of Beef Records managers Michal Ruzicka (dj Schwa) and Nick West. Founded at the end of 2006 the collaboration was developed to reflect Michal and Nick’s diverse musical backgrounds and tastes.

The Shades of Gray live show is an unusual blend of house, minimal, techno and progressive styles. SOG remix their tracks on stage by layering deep grooves with intricate percussion and melody. Always keeping the sound fluid by taking the listener to unexpected places.

In summer of 2009 Shades of Gray took their sound on the road, touring Japan and Europe. They also spent the summer producing tracks in the ORM studio in Prague. Keep an eye out for new material on labels such as Plus minus, Flow, Wolf and many more in the coming year. .
