::Kalyug (Audioashram)::
An impressive international profile, six album releases and few more on their way, Nikhel kumar Mahajan is a musical force to be reckoned with. Seeking inspiration from traditional Indian Classical, Hindu mythology, paranormal phenomenon, extraterrestrials and more, Nikhel’s sound can best be described as a Euphonious union of fluid uplifting rhythms, rich atmospheric textures and some downright twisted psychedelia. Having produced for a little over thirteen years, Mahajan has held his own and shared stage with some top of the line artists of the likes of Vibrasphere, Infected Mushroom, Atmos, Skazi, Solar Fields, AES Dana, Ethnogenic, Slackbaba, Cell and more.
Playing under three names, Sattyananda, Kalyug and Shiva Central Nikhel’s sound is capable of taking listeners through a long transcendental journey through myriad musical crests and troughs starting at bliss central, with some gentle, down tempo melodies, slowly progressing towards some uplifting, foot-tapping, head-bobbing rhythms and ultimately taking a complete turn around for some off-the charts, twisted mayhem, taking you right back to the days of Goa trance. With such intense diversity it’s no wonder that Nikhel has played across Europe in countries such as Greece, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom and Italy to name a few. Mahajan was also one of the only pioneering Indian musicians to play at the Freedom Festival (Greece), Glade (U.K) and Sonica (Italy), as Sattyananda and Kalyug, belting some classic chillout grooves and progressive trance.
Nikhel has released many critically acclaimed albums under his alternate avatars of Sattyananda (Ambient), Kalyug (Progressive) & Shiva Central. In 2005, Nikhel conceptualized a compilation “Vande Mataram” – which showcased Indian Electronica at its best & was released on ‘Music Today’. He went into the studio in the winter of 2005-06 and composed, produced and arranged “Internal Activities” his debut album which was released by ‘India Today Group’. In 2008, Nikhel got together with Hari Singh to produce “Saatvik Sequencers”, an electro-classical music project that combines traditional Indian ragas with electronic music textures. As Kalyug Nikhel has released his full length debut, 'Digital Chamatkar' and 2009 seems pretty active for the artist with two highly varied dance albums 'Progressive Sets' & 'Nacho Sare (Punjabi Dance Album)'.
With a record label already under weigh and two more albums set for release Nikhel’s mission for the rest 2009 is to promote his newest venture, Radio 79, an online radio station, featuring some of the best record labels, artists, D.J’s and producers from across the globe.
::Kohra (Qilla Records)::
Born in 1986, Madhav Shorey started his musical journey in his childhood with a formal education in both the drums and the keyboard. His interest in music urged him to experiment and fine tune his knowledge into the realms of electronic dance music. His first showcase as a DJ / Turntablist was at the age of 16, at the ‘War of the DJ’s’ Competition, New Delhi where he was selected as a finalist whilst still underage to participate, after which he became a regular guest artist at the event. He continued to play at various clubs across India and was the resident DJ at club Q’ba, New Delhi for a year.
In 2005, he was one of the founding members of the renowned Indian Electronic Live Act, Jalebee Cartel. Over the next 3 yrs, together they created a stir within the country, initiating the concept of live electronica among the masses and gained both national and international acclaim. Over his tenure with the Jalebee Cartel, the band had original releases and remixes on labels like Baroque Records (UK), System Records (US), Existence Records (CA), Helvetica Recordings (SZ), Observe Records (EU), Pure Substance Records (ML), Moon Tribal Records (RU), Segment Records (UK) and Underground Lessons (GR). They also bagged a brand endorsement with ‘Adidas Originals’ in 2008.
Kohra made his debut in the international dance map in January 2007, after which there was no looking back. He has released his edgy grooves on labels such as Shivlink Records (India), Echoes Records (Israel), Soultribe Records (Germany) and Neurobiotic Records (Italy). He is one of the only Indian Producers to have his tracks spotted on the top 10 charts of popular download platforms like Beatport & Psyshop. While dj'ing, Kohra’s musical scope ranges from Minimal Techno, Tech-House and Progressive Trance. His productions are also inspired by the same style resulting in a hybrid of sounds and elements breaking the ever so evident genre barrier most dj's and producers confide themselves to.
Spotted on the lineups of many international dance festivals across the world such as Sonica (Italy), Moondust (India), Earthcore (Australia), he has performed with EDM guru’s like Audiojack, Peter Gun, Dj Slater, Robert Babicz, Elegant Universe, Sun Control Species, Tetrameth, Decoy, Shadow FX, Sensient, Headroom, Ticon and Vibrasphere and has collaborated projects with artists like Antix, Jalebee Cartel, Elastic, Spikers, Mute, Eitan Riter, Fog, Jey & Ex, Nyquist, Kliment, Midimal, Blackout among many others.
Madhav is currently based in New Delhi, India where he continues to promote “intelligent dance music” in all ways possible. Focusing on minimal techno with deep tribal and tech house elements, his style both as a DJ and Producer has taken a more abstract and minimalist approach since his transcontinental move. He plans to expand the horizons of his personal fusion of electronic music in his newer independent productions and collaborations. Coming next from Kohra is a new, exciting chapter with the launch of his own tech label 'Qilla Records' which will showcase up and coming artists as well as more established acts from around the world with an aim to release credible underground music that compliment the labels sound. Stay Tuned!!

Extending his musical expertise to the dance floor in 2006, BlueOrb started a new project under the name BUFFA PIRATE, belting out some fidgety and cut-up techno, electro, dubstep and Nu breaks. Having plundered dance floors in Delhi, Bombay, Goa and Bangalore, BluOrb has headlined with some industry bigwigs like
psykovsky, kindzadza, zik, zmachine, Atmos, Dede, Exaile, Sattyananda, Order of the Essence, Olive Tree Dance, Asad, Kerosene Club/Bioriod Bee and the MIDIval PunditZ.

With a dynamic sound ranging from ambient chill to some heavy duty bassline drills to dirty beats, the BlueOrb and BUFFA PIRATE experience is full of surprises and pumping enough to ambush your senses, leaving you nailed to the dancefloor.
:: S.O.N.R::
Rishi’s electronic journey began while he was living in Honolulu, Hawaii. After listening to a variety of dance music through the 90’s, a new wave of sounds redefined his perception of electronica. In 2001 S.O.N.R. aka Rishi Handa, bought his first mixer and CD players and began playing for his friends. By 2002 he was playing at underground parties on the island of Oahu (Hawaii) and has been progressing since.
S.O.N.R’s DJ sets are a rich in atmospheres, thumping bass lines, transcending leads and are very dance floor oriented. Each track represents a chapter in a story culminating into a high energy, elated flight through sound. S.O.N.R. strings together a number of diverse styles of Electronica with a signature mixing technique. S.O.N.R. is versatile enough to tailor a set around an event, a theme and even around a venue. A typical S.O.N.R. set begins at a slow pace from relaxing ambient sound-scapes, moves through bouncy Progressive rhythms to heavy bass-line driven Trance and finally progresses into a finger licking series of dance-floor bombs packed with energy.
