:: S.O.N.R :: [Audio Aashram]

Rishi’s electronic journey began while he was living in Honolulu, Hawaii. After listening to a variety of dance music through the 90’s, a new wave of sounds redefined his perception of electronica. In 2001 S.O.N.R. aka Rishi Handa, bought his first mixer and CD players and began playing for his friends. By 2002 he was playing at underground parties on the island of Oahu (Hawaii) and has been progressing since.

S.O.N.R’s DJ sets are atmospheric, bass responsive and intensely groovy. Each track represents a chapter in a story culminating into a high energy, elated flight through sound. He strings together a range of diverse styles of Electronica with creative subtlety.
S.O.N.R. is versatile enough to tailor a set around an event, a theme and even around a venue. A typical S.O.N.R. set begins at a slow pace from relaxing ambient sound-scapes, moves through funky bass-lines and evolving grooves progressing into a flow of transcending sounds.

:: Kabir Bose :: Dj Set

Kabir Bose started his 'Musical journey' at the age of 15 back in new delhi, india. The sounds of the nylon strings ringing in his ears, evertime he hit the guitar, instantly excited him! He started off with playing for a rock band but soon, with the introduction of Electronic music, a new side of him came to light! The powerfull basslines with a combination of electric leads and groovy beats made him curious! He then decided that ‘Sound’ is what he wanted to study. After finishing his Audio engineering degree in Australia, he starting composing his own experimental music! The first party he played at was at a beach in Melbourne. It was an Earthcore after party with close to 300 people moving to what he was playing! “The sense of energy that came within me was unreal! To see that many people dancing in my control made me want to master everything I had to do to perform at my best!" He soon started Djing at a lots of local indoor/outdoor parties in and around Melbourne, including festivals like ‘Earthcore, Full Moon Gathering and Maitreya.’ There is a list of International acts that he has played amongst, some of them being… Protoculture, Atomic Pulse, Naked Tourist, Brain Bokka, Mindelight, Neuromotor, Mr Peculiar, Mechanism, Hefty output, Fatali, Farebi Jalebi, Grouch, Terrafractyl, Blue MD Etc… His style of music varies from Minimal-progressive beats ranging up to groovy, stomping Psy-trance, leaving an aura of "energy" behind on the dancefloor. "I love build ups and the use of 'warped' samples often confusing people to recieve the unexpected “ He prefers the use of subtle melodies with crunchy basslines – starting off his sets at 140 bpm taking it up to 148. Currently he is in Bombay, working on his first Electronic release.
